Required before applying:

  1. YES/NO: USA OR CANADIAN RESIDENT

    I am a US or Canadian resident. 

  2. YES/NO: AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD

    I am at least 18 years of age and am legally able to enter into binding contracts in the state of Arizona.

  3. YES/NO: READY FOR PUPPY IN 2026 OR 2027

    Myself and all members of my household are ready for a Doberman puppy in 2026 or 2027, provided the right puppy is available.

  4. YES/NO: FENCED YARD, PERMISSION FROM LANDLORD IF RENTING

    I have a fenced yard suitable for a Doberman to exercise, play, and potty in, that is not available or accessible for public use. (Acreage is usually okay, just email first to check.) If I rent or have community restrictions, I can present a letter from my landlord or HOA allowing me to keep a Doberman at my residence.

  5. YES/NO: CROPPED & DOCKED, REQUIRED AFTER CARE

    I understand all Prima Doberman puppies are cropped and docked by the Breeder's veterinarian, no exceptions. I am prepared for the weekly after care of posting ears according to the Breeder's method and instruction. I will text pictures of the ears in and out of posts every week and keep in posts (no time out of ear posts) until Prima Dobermans signs off that it is complete to their satisfaction. The minimum age is 8mos old but some puppies require longer.

  6. YES/NO: APPLICATION PROCESS

    I understand that the process is to submit an application, based on the application I may be contacted for an interview, based on the interview, I may be added to Prima Doberman’s waiting list for a puppy. The waitlist will receive first updates when a breeding occurs, puppies are born, and weekly updates after puppies are born. Addition to the waitlist does not guarantee a puppy.

  7. YES/NO: THE BREEDER WILL CHOOSE YOUR PUPPY

    I understand Prima Dobermans matches the puppy to the person based on best fit (temperament, planned activities, aptitude, lifestyle, household dynamics, etc). It is not first come first serve. I understand that puppies will not be matched until 8+ weeks age. Puppies will be graded as show prospect, performance prospect, or pet companion, beginning at 8 weeks age.

  8. YES/NO: PURCHASE PRICE & PAYMENT

    I can afford the $5,000 purchase price for a Prima Doberman. I understand the only form of payment accepted is a cashiers check made to Prima Dobermans with a signed contract, AFTER my application and interview are approved and Prima Dobermans confirms there is a puppy for me in the litter.

  9. YES/NO: IN PERSON PICK UP, DRIVING & NOT FLYING

    I understand your Doberman puppies are (almost always) too large to fly in cabin as carry-on pet by the time they are ready for pick up. I am able to meet Prima Dobermans in person at their home in Phoenix AZ to pick up my puppy, and am prepared to take my puppy home by driving and not flying if my puppy is too big for carry on pet.*

  10. YES/NO: OPEN CONTACT FOR LIFE

    I agree to maintain open contact with Prima Dobermans for the life of my Doberman including photo and welfare updates, current address and contact information, once a year minimum.

  11. YES/NO: RETURN OR REHOME TO PRIMA DOBERMANS ONLY

    I agree that if I am not able or don’t wish to keep my Prima Doberman at any time for any reason, I will return it back to the Breeder. I agree this Doberman may NOT be rehomed to friends, family, neighbors, shelter, rescue, or anyone other than Prima Dobermans.

*(Ground transport and cargo shipping will not be accepted. Prima Dobermans may be able to deliver a puppy for $500-1500 if arranged for and agreed upon at least 3 weeks in advance before pick up date. Contact for more information this service is dependent on travel logistics required and not always available.)
