GETTING A PRIMA DOBERMAN
PHASE ONE — APPLY
01 APPLICATION →
When applications are open, submit a puppy application to be considered for our waitlist. The application tells us about your home, lifestyle, experience, goals, and what you’re looking for in a Doberman.
02 APPLICATION REVIEW →
We carefully review each application. Applicants who appear to be a good potential fit will be invited to the next step.
03 PLACEMENT CONVERSATION →
We’ll connect by phone to talk through your application, answer questions, discuss expectations, and make sure we’re a good fit for one another.
04 APPROVAL →
Approved applicants are welcomed to our waitlist along with their puppy preferences and placement goals.
PHASE TWO — PREPARE & FOLLOW THE LITTER
01 WAITLIST WELCOME + PUPPY PREP →
Approved waitlist families complete our puppy preparation process well in advance—from food, supplies, and training plans to health testing, ear posting, and breed specific care.
Our goal is for the important details to be handled before your puppy is ready, so when the time comes, you can simply enjoy the experience of welcoming your new family member.
02 LITTER UPDATES →
Once puppies are born, waitlist families receive exclusive weekly emails with photos, litter updates, developmental information, and important calendar and planning details.
When puppies are old enough for visitors, waitlist families may also be invited to puppy socialization visits.
03 DEPOSIT INVITATION →
Once we determine that there is a suitable puppy for you in the litter, you may be invited to place a deposit. Deposit invitations may occur between approximately 2–8 weeks of age depending on the puppies born and your individual preferences.
We do not accept deposits for unborn puppies, nor do we accept deposits for every puppy in the litter. If you are invited to reserve before the matching period, your deposit reserves a suitably matched puppy—not a specific puppy.
PHASE THREE — MATCH & GO HOME
01 PUPPY MATCHING →
At approximately 8 weeks of age, puppies are evaluated as pet companions or show prospects and matched with approved families based on temperament, lifestyle, goals, preferences, and overall best fit.
Puppies are always matched based on best fit—not the order families join our waitlist.
02 PICKUP →
Once matching is complete, we’ll finalize your puppy’s go home details and pickup schedule. Puppies are typically 8-10 weeks old when they are ready for pickup.
Families should plan to pick up their puppy at our home in Peoria, Arizona and drive home. Our puppies are often too large for airline cabin travel by the time they are old enough to leave so we request that you plan on driving your puppy home.
03 FOLLOW UP + LIFETIME SUPPORT
Our relationship doesn’t end at pickup. I want to hear how your puppy is settling in and am available for questions, guidance, and support throughout their life.
Plan on sending regular ear posting photos during the posting period, and we continue to follow each dog through birthday updates and ongoing health, temperament, and behavior information.
